Hot FM is a radio network owned by Southern Cross Austereo. The stations in Queensland and Western Australia are part of the Today's Hit Network. The brand was created in 1999 by DMG Radio, now Nova Entertainment. In 2004, they sold the network to Macquarie Regional RadioWorks, now Southern Cross Austereo.
Each Hot FM station in Queensland have their own local breakfast program. Then from 9am weekdays, the Hot FM Queensland stations network from Southern Cross Austereo Gold Coast Media Centre; except for Hot FM Townsville which has local programming until 3pm. Hot FM West Australia is considered as a single station as all programmes are networked from Hot FM Bunbury. From 4pm weekdays, all Hot FM stations take the national Today's Hit Network programming.
